Find Out More

What's so special about Smooth Sailing Tours?

Our tours are specifically designed for people with disabilities and elderly to explore Gold Coast's stunning Broadwater on a Pontoon Boat!

With a 3 tour departing from Labrador, we will work as a team to navigate to different islands and learn what it means to be a sailor. You can expect to see wild marine life and beautiful views in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Purpose

Smooth Sailing Tours was created to fill a gap because too often, people with disabilities and the elderly are left out of the fun. Social outings, especially those in nature, are rarely designed with accessibility, comfort, and dignity in mind. Our tours provide a rare opportunity to enjoy the outdoors in a safe, inclusive, and engaging way.

How you can help

There are several ways you can help with the launch of Smooth Sailing Tours!

A great way to support is to donate to our GoFundMe, share our message on social media and tell your neighbours. Every contribution plays a part in making Smooth Sailing Tours a reality.

Donations directly support the purchase of the Pontoon Boat Vessel and upholding local partnerships.

The pontoon boat

Pontoon boats are known for their wide layout and low-speed design which is a great opportunity for people who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids. While the final vessel has not been selected, every option under consideration meets strict safety standards and offers the flexibility to be adapted for participants of all abilities.

All modifications and safety features on the vessel will comply with both NDIS requirements and Australian maritime standards to ensure a safe, accessible, and fully compliant experience for all participants.
